Would your kids like a holiday as well? Koh Tao Childcare Centre is what you need!

Koh Tao childcare recognises the need for childcare facilities on an island like Koh Tao. When travelling, I like my kids to get a cultural experience and go home with a sense that it was not just a holiday, but a learning experience. There are other reasons parents find they need Koh Tao childcare. Diving is almost impossible to do without it and sometimes you all just need a break from each other after a few days around the pool. Koh Tao Childcare have created several options for families with children from 0 to13 years of age.

Koh Tao Childcare Staff

Our staff are a mixture of Western, Burmese (Myanmar) and Thai backgrounds and are expected to have their first aid and CPR training. Staff are chosen based on their unique skills, qualifications and experience. All staff are hand-picked by myself and my business partner Ellu, to ensure the children are getting the best care possible.

Short-term and long-term Options

Koh Tao Childcare for tourist children is offered to short-term visitors to the island. Facilities are shared with the local not for profit school, so lunchtimes and playtimes are a huge social experience and cultural one too. A percentage of the profits made at the centre go towards the not for profit school, so your children’s fees are helping other children continue their education on the island.

Long-Term visitors to the island are welcome to join our structured local kindergarten and not for profit primary school – Koh Tao International Primary. Children can be offered structured learning programs in literacy, numeracy and basic subjects that are taught by qualified teachers from the UK. Our curriculum is based on the International Early Years and Older Years Primary Curriculum, also known as the IPC. Pearsons Online Programs are also used at the school.

What do children do at Koh Tao Childcare centre?

Children from 15 months to 13 years-

THAI LANGUAGE CLASSES: Children participate in Thai classes run by a qualified Thai primary school teacher. Your children will learn to count, know their colours, learn basic greetings and try their hand at some Thai writing if they are of school age.

ART CLASSES: Our art teachers will have themed activities each week involving painting, drawing, sticking, cutting, Paper-Mache and more! Our school follows some great themes through the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) that children of all ages enjoy.

TRAMPOLINING: A large netted trampoline, with safety guards is used by children who are instructed by a qualified trampolinist.

COOKING: Kids love to cook! Koh Tao Childcare has an onsite kitchen where all our meals are prepared. Children will participate in cooking lunch with our onsite Burmese cook. Traditional Thai and Burmese meals are regularly prepared for all students and visitors, giving the children a chance to watch, learn and help make their own lunch!
